What we collect
Your account details and the bills you choose to upload, plus the results we produce from them.
How bills are stored
Uploaded bills are sensitive financial information. They are kept in private storage, never published or shared publicly, and only you can access them.
We don't sell your data
We never sell your personal information or bill documents. Anonymous price comparisons are off unless you turn them on.
Deleting your data
You can delete any bill, all documents, or your whole account from Settings at any time. You can also have documents deleted automatically after analysis.
Cancellation details
Cancel Assist records you enter — dates, reference numbers, notes and confirmation screenshots or documents — are private to your account, never shared publicly, and deleted along with your other documents. We never ask for or store your provider usernames, passwords or PINs.
Payments
Subscription payments are processed by our payment provider, Square. You enter card details on the provider's secure checkout — BillCleaner never receives or stores full card numbers or security codes. We keep your plan, subscription status, provider customer and subscription IDs, and the card brand and last four digits the provider reports.
Alerts
If you turn on email or text alerts, we use your contact details only to send those alerts.
Important, plainly stated
- Everything BillCleaner surfaces is informational. We flag items worth reviewing — we do not claim a legitimate charge is an error.
- All savings figures are estimates until realized. Providers set their own pricing and may decline a request.
- BillCleaner never cancels services, accepts contracts, authorizes changes, or moves money for you. You make every decision.
- Optional is not the same as unnecessary. We label add-ons as optional so you can decide.
